Ben is the narrator, he hates the “Big Hurt” (Larry) because Larry thinks he’s in charge and Ben get’s grabbed in the jaw by the big hurt.  Ben’s mom (Geneva) says Larry needs alone time, but she doesn't know Ben got hit by the big hurt.  Aunt Fay Hates Larry Taylor (big hurt) because he bosses her around. Genevas likes Larry because they're going to get married and Larry never yells when she’s around. In the book it says how Larry tells Aunt Fay what to do.  Ben feels Frustrated about larry because he got backhanded by Larry, and yelled at.  Well, what makes Larry snap is that when Ben went down stairs he made a lot of noise and Larry yelled and went to Ben and said respect me boy.  Abuse, means it happens once in a while or not knowing when its going to happen.  What they mean by ‘’love is blind’’ it's like air is blind it's trying to say it's invisible, you can't see it its not seeable. Maybe the love between Larry and Ben’s mom is blind and their not showing it.  I think the author means Larry’s hand was locked on his jaw, like bars of a cage, Larry is so mean to ben it feels like Ben’s in a cage.

The Stolen Party

                   Rosara is confident and sweet and all other things because Rosara thinks that Luciana is her real friend but she really is'nt. The story shows power about middle class and the rich because Luciana pertends to Rosara that she throwing a party and rosara thinks she going to the party to have fun but she really is'nt she goes to the party to work to be a wader. This book repersents a big theme because it show power and people that don't have any power. The mom in my eyes t think she knew but she wanted her daughter to see what it feels like and to go with the right people your true friends. I noticed in this story that their was leadership, in one part Rosara is talking to Lucianas cousin and Her cousin is being mean so Rosara kicks her in the leg. This books conflict i see in a lot of books these kind of books are good for life lessons to know the person before you get invited to one of the persons party. Rosara stays strong because at the end of the book Rosara get a check and then she knows that she was at the party to serve people not to be served, Her mom conforts her and makes her calm down because Rosara was sad because she thought that Luciana was her true friend.

Age Rated Books

The article i read supports its claim and it gives examples to prove why its right. I agree with the author the message was is YA books good for adults or kids 8/9. It shows in the article that in other schools they were debating if their good for kids our age or adults. Its like the same thing is happening in our school because we have to right letters to ms.berner about if YA books are good for our age group. I thought they should be age rated because you dont no how much a kid could handle we all have different reactions to sad or scary things. It gives responses to prove their debate. I think they should do a survey on kids and see what percent thinks to rate books or don't rate books

Hunger Games/Mocking Jay

I think katniss is going threw a tough time because she lost everything her boyfriend her home, her sister misses her and scared. I have a connection with mocking jay and hurricane song because both characters lose important things or people to them, for example in Hurricane song dozens of people are stuck in a stadium for days watching there neighborhoods getting flooded, and in mocking jay she lost her home torn down and she also lost her boyfriend and he is a important role in this book.
